William ASBELL b. 1817 in Appling Co., GA d. 1868 in Brooks Co., GA and Sarah Ann GARRETT b. 1825 in Telfair Co., GA had two daughters that married DEAN brothers: (1) Georgia Ann ASBELL b. Nov 1855 m. William DEAN 23 Mar 1878; (2) Lee Ann ASBELL m. Nathan Jackson DEAN 26 Apr 1882, both marriages in Brooks Co., GA.
There is a good reason to believe that I share a common ancestor with these two DEAN brothers. I am most anxious to contact an active researcher of this DEAN/ASBELL family and would hope that a living male Dean descendant would be willing to have his Y-DNA tested.
