Thanks so much for your information. I'm excited about your Elisha's wife being named Susan because this is a bit more evidence to support my theory that they are my Clarinda Crosby's parents. Clarinda named her firstborn daughter "Susannah". Susannah was later known as "Susan". Clarinda named her firstborn son "Elisha Crosby Conklin", which is why I first suspected that this Elisha Crosby was her father. (Both children were baptized in Schodack, NY.) Another bit of evidence which supports my theory is that the Conklin family she married into appears in close proximity to Elisha Crosby on the 1790 Rennselaerswyck census.

Can you tell me where your Elisha lived before moving to Rensselaerswyck? I thought he might have come from Brewster, MA, and was likely the descendent of Rev. Thomas Crosby. I'd love to locate a birth/baptism record for my Clarinda Crosby, settling the question of who her parents were.
