I am looking for information on Hugh Cowan from Glasgow, Scotland and probably born about 1800. Married Mary Portiss Grant May 20, 1834 in Quebec, Canada. Mary was second cousin to Ulysses S. Grant. Children: Margaret, Jane, Mary, Elizabeth, Ann, William B., Flora and Jeanette. He died at Lansing, IA on June 04, 1854.
