Hi Virginia, I have a Pink Coonrod, age 25, SC, Mary E. Coonrod, age 22, AL, and Lullie Coonrod, age 2, TN listed in the 1880 Lauderdale Co., TN Census Records. There is also a Pink Coonrod married to Elizabeth Loftin, 17 Mar 1875 in the Lauderdale County Marriages. You can look these up for yourself on the Lauderdale, TN genweb page. I came across this information this evening while researching the Loftin family who came from Alabama and moved, it appears, to Lauderdale County for a short period of time following the Civil War. My gr-grandfather, Jesse Loftin, was married in Lauderdale Co. and I just recently made the connection of how he ended up there after the war. If this is the Lulu Coonrod you are searching for, then you must be distantly related to me on the Loftin side. Lulu's mother, Mary Elizabeth Loftin Coonrod, quite likely, is my gr-grandfather's sister. Hope this gives you a few clues to follow up on.
