Mr. Messer,

The following is the start of a report made regarding her ancestry; note I have not found previously any descendants of the marriage. The ancestry of Isaac Cobb from Capt. Morgan Cobb 2nd is not proved but the best assumption based on the Taunton families known (and by another connection, below). Beyond Isaac Cobb, I can email the rest to you off the forum but you may have seen or have a file on Capt. Morgan Cobb of the Taunton line.
----------------------------------

First Generation

1.       Mary Cobb was born before 20 Jul 1766 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA. She was baptized on 20 Jul 1766 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA, USA.
She married Joel Streeter in Westmoreland, NH, USA. Further info on Joel Streeter or their descendants is unknown.

Second Generation

2.       Isaac Cobb was born about 1744 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA, USA. He died in Jan 1769 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA, USA. [Probate records in Bristol Co. but note as 1778 based on Westmoreland record which conflicts with date.]

[Westmoreland, NH genealogy* has his death in 1778 (possible based on guardianship of a son but refer to Isaac Cobb's wife below). Brother George Cobb was appointed to "Surveyor of Highways in place of Isaac deceased." George Cobb was in Norton, MA in 1777 (marriage intention) and moved to Westmoreland in 1778. On 26 May 1779, he was made a guardian of his deceased brother's son, named Morgan Cobb (after his father?). George Cobb had a son named Isaac Cobb, b. 1783]]

Isaac Cobb and Silence LNU were married about 1764/5 in Taunton, Bristol Co., MA, USA.

3. Silence LNU is known to have owned property purchased from Samuel Howe in 1773 in Westmoreland, Cheshire Co., NH, USA. No mention of Isaac Cobb in property purchase.
-------------------------------------------

[Note!: Isaac Cobb is not found recorded as a child of Morgan Cobb 2nd, so not proved, but likely a son, like some others, based on birth and from names of descendants and siblings (link may never be proved by loss of Taunton records in 1838!) and lack of genealogy on the Taunton family lines (unlike the Barnstable lines).]

Perhaps someone else has found a more definitive link of Isaac Cobb to Morgan Cobb 2nd(or another?) other than the name of his son. I hope there is another person who has a connection to some part of the family and can provide more to answer this if the above assumption is not correct (but again a real possibility).

Good luck
