I am from the Ohio Cleaver. Ezekiel came to Waynesville, Ohio and bought land and had sons and daughters. The John in your post father James, had brothers John, Peter Benton, Nathan and William. Ihave pictures of them together in a photo. Just John, Nathan and William though. I have family letters when Nathan was in Tennessee during the civil war where he wrote back to Waynesville to his brother William. Nathan became Sheriff of Warren County after the war and then left and went to the Oklanhoma territory for the boomer sooner run. Settled in Kingfisher, OKLAHOMA and had sons.

As for James, I never followed that part of the branch much but there were Cleaver's who lived up the road from us when I was a child that were very distant relatives. The letters can be found at Swathmore College in Pa.

I hope this helps you and there is many records in Waynesville Library and Wilmington Library as well as Wilmington College that can help you very much.
