I don't know if the book "Cleaver Family" is still in print or not. Linda(Cleaver)Besendorfer, 1230 SW 16th Pl, Hermiston,Oregon 97838 published it. The one I have was loaned to me. There is no Rebecca Cleaver, Richard Puckett, or other Puckett's, or Burch's mentioned. Do you know Rebecca's mother's name? I would have loved to help you. I don't remember us corresponding before but it is very nice to hear from you. Samuel Cleaver (mother is Nancy Cleaver-maiden name) and Martha Ann Burch Cleaver's daugther, Permelia Jane Cleaver (1842-1913, married Wiley Bays), is my 2nd great grandmother. Do you need any information on that line? Samuel Cleaver was born in Pittslyvania County, VA
Do you know anything about Martha Ann Burch? I have Sam and Martha's children as: George(DOB1840), Permelia(DOB1842), John(DOB1844), Sarah Ann(DOB1847). I have Samuel with no brothers or sister. Per "Cleaver Family" book by Linda (Cleaver) Besendorfer:
Before 17 Dec. 1810: Nancy never married Samuel Hutcherson. Court records show, "Nancy took Samuel Hutcherson to court in regard to "recognition" of being father of her child. He was placed in the custody of the sheriff and was to remain there until he had admitted being the father of the child and had agreed to pay for the costs of raising the child. Samuel Hutcherson having left the courthouse without interring into an recognition for the support of his bastard child born of Nancy Cleaver. The Sheriff is summoned, the said Samuel Hutcherson to appear here at Mar court next, show cause why attachment shall not be awarded against him for his comtempt in court."
