I have traced my family back to Richard and Nicholas on the 1790 census. I found Nicholas on a tax list for Carteret County in 1786. I do not know their relation to each other or where they came from An estate paper show William Cary, with Richard signing it. My ancestor is Richard. Both died in Craven County, in the area which is now part of Pamlico County. Any help much appreciated. Notify Administrator about this message?
