In answer to your questions regarding Ralph Calkin and his family: Ralph Frederick Calkin was
born July 26, 1908 in Malden, MA., son of Pitt R. and Mabel Pearl (Milliken) Calkin. He died
Sept. 23, 1978 at the Togus Military Hospital, Augusta, ME. He was buried in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, ME. Ralph retired from the Army with the rank of Lt. Col. after being stationed in various places around the globe. His home was in Washington, ME.
I don't know the name of his first wife, who was mother of Pitt A. Calkin. His second wife was Catherine Jane (Berry) Calkin. born Oct. 31, 1910 Portland, ME. daughter of Simon and Fanny (Mayo) Berry.
She died March 17, 2008 Yarmouth, ME. She was my second cousin.
In searching through some of Catherine's possessions I found a card that indicates that Pitt's wife's first name is Marli and he had children, Barbi, Pitt, Ralph and Patricia. I had not seen that before today.
