George W. Calkins from Norwich, Connecticut was married several years to my 2nd great Grandmother Susan Elizabeth Spicer from Bozrah, Connecticut. Marriage date was April 22nd, 1860. Norwich 1860 census shows him as being born in 1824, however his headstone indicates that he died Feb. 19, 1866 at age 33 years (birthdate would be abt. 1833). I cannot verify date at this time. He is buried in Yantic Cemetery in Norwich, Connecticut. The headstone is broken and is leaning against the headstone of his wife Susan Elizabeth Spicer. Susan remarried after the death of George to Charles H. Maynard who is also buried there (Section 78, lot 19). I have a photo of the headstone of George W. Barrows taken this week. I'd be happy to forward it to anyone who wants it.
