Dear Ken, I just recently was given some family papers by my grandmother for a Daniel Rowley Calkins born 15 April, 1818 and died 14 May,1892 married to Elizabeth (Betsy) Stone, born 12 June,1817 and died 8 July, 1884 who was her great-great grandfather. His son was Edwin Daniel Calkins, born 3 August,1842 in Lavonia, NY and died in 1915. Daniel Rowley Calkins parents were Daniel Calkins born 18 June, 1772 and Mary born 19 December,1774, married on 6 November,1791. The paper I was given is very hard to read, so I can't make out some of the names clearly, but it looks like there were 9 children. The first was born 19 December,1792. The rest are as follows: Luanna b. 6 Dec. 1796; Lyndia b. 6 April,1797; Persillia b. 15 June, 1804; child b. 12 April, 1806; child b. 5 July, 1808; Hannah b. 12 Dec., 1811; Samantha b. 28 May, 1814; and Daniel Rowley Calkins born 15 April, 1818. My question is that another paper I was given states that this family is related to the Hugh Calkins Lineage. If anyone would know, it sounds like you would. Are we related or not? Thank you for all you have done for the Calkins Family, and I as wondering if your book is still available from the Higginson Book Co.? Also what is a GEDCOM? - Sincerely, Gail Wooten Miller at gailmiller2004@yahoo.com Notify Administrator about this message?
