Hi....I recently discovered an obit of a Marjorie Slater Calkins who died c. 21 July 1984. The obit was found buried in some of my mother's old records. She apparently had a husband by the name of Russ. I'm assuming (having found her S.S. death index data) that she is actually Marjorie Slater who married a Russell Calkins. She was b. 18 March 1914 in unknown. She died in Grass Valley, CA.
My only theory is that this Russell is a son of my great grandfather's (Frederic Earle Calkins) 2nd. wife, Emma Jane Garrett & may have been born in either Yonkers, NY or in California c. 1901 - 1920. I would be very happy to hear from anyone who has any data on the above mentioned &/or of Frederic's 1st. wife, Marie Katherine Holleran b. c. 1878 in Elmira, NY. Thanks!
