WOW! A whole new world just opened up to me. I found the same marriage record last night at the library but wasn't sure if it was them. It was in French, but I wrote down the names I could read which match your info. I found a good Boudreau link.http://users.eastlink.ca/~grose/acadian.html. I wonder if I am part of this line? I found another link to Arichat church records http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/j.josse/ArichatRecords.htm that I have been going through. I keep seeing the same family names repeated. I'm looking ahead of their marriage date for births of their children and back 20 years or so for their births. It opened up many questions. What happened to the family in 1755, how did they get to Isle of Madame, and most of all why did they leave to go to Mass. where my grandfather was born in in 1879? My grandparents lived in an old brownstone in the city of Brooklyn, NY for 40 years. They never owned property or drove a car. Arichat is so beautiful in comparison. When did Boudrot become Boudreau? I see it listed both ways in the 1800's church records. I can't express enough how much I appreciate your information. I finally know I'm looking in the right location and have the right names to build on. Many thanks.....Leslie Boudreau Notify Administrator about this message?
