Hi, I'm trying to find any info I can on my grandfather & his family, Jarvis Bordelon. He married Alida Kelone, they had 3 boys.
Rufus, Buford and Wilbert Earnest ( my father ). Wilbert was born Oct 19, 1921 in Marksville as far as I know. I don't have much info, as I'm new to this. I think Jarvis had a sister. I was told that he died when my father
( Wilbert )was 14. Which would approx. be 1935. I think he is buried in Marksville in a cemetary which used to be an indian burial ground or indian mounds..? I have no idea what the name of the cemetary would be called today.
Does anyone know of something like this..? I remember my father mentoining something like this when I was growing up.
My grandmother Alida moved to New Orleans with the 3 boys, but I don't know what year. Anyone having any info on this family please email me. I really would like to find out anything I can.
