Hi Linda,
I must be a long lost cousin of yours. Wise Owl was my g-g-grandfather also. We know not much about Wise Owl, only the info that he was shot...we were told by carpetbaggers shortly after the civil war. And that he was full blood Cherokee. That is the reason we can't find much about him. But I am still digging.
I didn't know who he was married to so that will give me more info to go on.
