Looking for information on John Black who married Elizabeth Boyd on 13 Feb 1866 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Their marriage certificate describes John as being a 29 yo Master Mariner. His parents were James Black, civil engineer, and Margaret Gordon.
In 1875, Elizabeth came to Australia and in 1876 married John Flaxman, with whom she had four children. Elizabeth died in 1911 in Australia, but I do not know what happened to John Black.
John Flaxman is my 1st cousin, 4 times removed.
Any information would be appreciated.
