Abilene Reporter News Abilene, Texas July 14, 1965 Mrs. MARY LOUZETTA LINDSEY Mrs. Mary Louzetta Lindsey (nee BLACK) died Wednesday in Hendrick Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She had lived here since before the turn of the century. Funeral will be held Thursday in Elliott’s Chapel of Memoris with Rev. WAYNE T. GASH, First Baptist Church of Nazarene pastor, and Rev. R. H. FITZGERALD, Trinity Church of the Nazarene pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Born in East Texas, she married JAMES THOMAS LINDSEY in Stephens County. They moved to Abilene in the late 1800’s. Her husband died in 1934. Mrs. Lindsey was a member of the Nazarene Church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. JOHN THOMAS of 733 Cherry, Mrs. JACK PIKE of 1410 Locust, Mrs. FRANK GIPSON / GIBSON of Petosi, Mrs. BILL HENDERSON of Fort Phantom Lake; a son SAM LINDSEY of Fort Worth; 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
