Seeking additional confirming information for my g-g-g-g grandparents Thomas Black b. May 12, 1777 and spouse Margaret (Hunter) Black b. Sept 1, 1775 who lived in Hanover Twp., Washington County, PA. They were born in Ireland and emigrated to America ~1809. (Birth dates and emigration info per Beers commemorative Bio Record of Washington County, Pa – listed on following website): http://www.chartiers.com/beers-project/articles/black-690.html
Recently visited Citizens Library in Washington County, PA. Per book “Miscellaneous Cemeteries, Washington Co., Pa Volume II, 1977 pg-6, Thomas & Margaret were buried in Brush Run United Presbyterian Cemetery which is located in Peters Township.
“Black, Thomas died Jan 21, 1856, age 70. Black, Margaret (wf of Thomas) died March 20, 1875, age 85. (Margaret—honorary service War of 1812—18 stars).”
On pg-6 of the same book, it states: (Black, Margaret – War of 1812-14 (Woman Nurse)---Daughters of 1812 marker).”
Recently visited Brush Run United Presbyterian Cemetery and located Thomas & Margaret’s graves. Their grave stone information is consistent with the information in the above mentioned cemeteries book and there is a single flag holder that indicates:

In the War of 1812
Thomas Black
Any suggestions on locating additional confirmation and documentation of Margaret’s service and determination of whether spouse Thomas also served in War of 1812 is much appreciated.
