John Thomas Black was the son of Isaac BLACK and Nancy RAY. Isaac was born in 1815 in South Carolina. His father was Jacob Black. Jacob and family moved to Fayette Co AL about 1826. Isaac married Nancy in 1836 and they moved to Monroe Co, MS about 1839. He died in 1861 in Monroe Co.
Nancy RAY was born in in 1819 in Fayette Co AL and died in 1900 in Monroe Co MS.
