Do you have any more information on this couple? There are a lot of Bertrands in Kansas and they are from many different families and areas. My Bertrands started out in Scioto County, Ohio, (after the original Bertrand came from France) and moved west. Most of them settled near Wichita, Conway Springs, Wellington and that general area.
There are Bertrands who started out in Canada and other areas. Locations in Kansas, sibling's names, children's names and so on would help narrow the field.
