Looking for descendents of John Bennett of Charlestown and Richard Bennett of Salem. Mid 1650s.
These two lines may be connected in England - but in New England I haven't found a connection.
I've seen references of Elinor to John Bennett, but, I doubt that connection.
Richard Bennett of Salem had a nephew Anthony who lived in Maine/Mass. was the step-son of Richard Window/Winthrop and after his step-father passed away was offered as charge to Richard Bennett who declined. Anthony married and is (I believe the immigrant ancestor of part of my Bennett lines) the other part is reported to come from John Bennett of Charlestown, Mass. - I don't know sibs of those earlier generations but, it's possible that they migrated to the sourthern states.
My Bennetts stayed in Mass/New Hampshire and married into the Flint families as well as other prominent families of COlonies - Moultons, Houghtons etc...
Hoping someone has a connection.
