I am looking for information on my greatgrandfather, James Hyrum BENNETT. I have very little information on him. He was the father of Gertrude Virginia BENNETT, my grandmother, who was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1904 and Marcella Minerva BENNETT who was born in Saint Elmo, Fayettte, Illinois in 1906. He was married to Lulu (Lula) Grace GLOYD about 1903. I have been told that he was born in Wisconsin around 1858. The family legend is that he worked for a railroad and was killed by Pancho Villa, but I have found other information that seems to indicate that he and my greatgrandmother were divorced. Any information or ideas of places to look would be very much appreciated.
