Monmouth Co. NJ marriage Bennet(t)-Archer

I'm looking for information on two couples who are probably related, but I have no proof.

New Jersey Marriage Records 1665-1800 lists the following -

Archer, George, Monmouth and Diadame Droman, Shrewbury married by license 1762 Nov. 27

No family named Droman appears in the area, but there are Drummonds, a reasonable phonetic reading.

Didame Archer (widow of George?) appears in the Jul 1784 tax list of Monmouth County, Shrewsbury Twp.

Didamy (prob. var. spelling of same) Archer is listed in Jul 1785, same county and twp.

In 1797, a George Archer is listed in the same area. Son, nephew or grandson?

Marriages of Monmouth Co. NJ, 1795-1843 lists -

Bennet, Elija-Diademy Archer 11-06-1817

Elijah Bennett and his wife Diadem are buried in Zion Methodist Cemetary near New Egypt, NJ among a whole bunch of Archers. Decade after decade, census records show them living among Archers. I just can't figure out WHICH Archers are relevent.

By the dates, Diadem Archer would more likely be a niece or granddaughter of George and Diadame Archer than a daughter. I have not located a will.

I have been told that George Archer fought in the New Jersey Line in the Revolution and died a prisoner of the British. His widow died before the Pension Act of 1818, so no application would have been filed. I have not been able to substantiate this yet.

Any of these people sound familiar? I know somebody posted about the Archers in New Egypt some time back, but I can't remember who.

I'd appreciate any clues. Thanks!
