As a hobby, I rescue old photographs from antiques shops and auctions. I have six photos of women, taken early 1900's. They all came from the same group of photos from the same auction. In my opinion (and that's all it is), they have the same type of facial features. The first two are in rough shape, taken by Cope in Norristown, PA. One the back of one, it reads "Grandmother Bell", the second one, taken by the same photographer, probably around the same time, reads, Mother age 19. Another one, of the same "Mother/Grandmother has no writing on the back, but I'm sure it's the same woman. The fourth photo isn't identified, however it was taken in Spring City, PA. This same girl is photographed again and on the back is written: "Aunt Sue Mamma's youngest sister" and the final photo has written on the back of it: "Aunt Nan" Are Nan & Sue sisters? While I'm not a handwriting specialist, the cursive handwriting appears to be the same. I will send scanned images of these treasures to anyone requesting to see them. My goal is to find family to send them to. If you think with these clues, that these ladies belong to your family, please contact me for details. I've actually been able to place a photo with less information, but there's more here and I'd like to connect the dots, and get them back to family.
