In case it is of interest to anyone, there is a portrait of Rev. Dr. George Bell posted on deadfred.com:

This portrait of Rev. Dr. George Bell appears on page 9 of The Canadian Horticulturist, vol.XX, no.1, January, 1897. See that article for more information. He apparently worked in Queen's College, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. I have no further information regarding him.
