Thank you, Pierre! It certainly seems that it is her. As to the circumstances of her parents, or why she was living with her grandparents, I don't know. I've already encountered a couple of "skeletons" by starting this search. This may be yet another.
My grandmother (Cora's daughter-in-law) had given me her maiden name as "Cora Bell Hicks" which could easily have been a mistake, or Cora could have assumed her grandparents' last name since they were the ones who raised her. I'm not real concerned with the discrepancy in birth years, and I'd be more apt to believe the census.
