The 1920 Census Stanford City, Lincoln, KY has a Thomas D. Martin, wife Sarah and 6 children, including Milia age 16. He is a General Contractor.
In 1930 Stanford City, Lincoln, KY has Tom D. Martin, Chief of Police, wife Sarah, 2 daughters, and an 8 yr old granddaughter, Mildred Bell. (think she was named for her great-grandmother Mildred Nordyke)
Then--there might be some misunderstanding on names on the Bell side.
John Raymond Bell b. 1897 was son of Lewis W ( or William L.) Bell b. 1866 KY He is listed both ways--married to Kitty B.(Kate) Nordyke b. 1869
They are in the 1900 Census Crab Orchard, Lincoln, KY with 2 sons Herbert b. 1892 and John R. 1897 and Mother-in-law Mildred Nordyke b. 1849. Listed as Lewis W. here, he is a Blacksmith.
In 1910 same place--listed as William L. and John R. is listed as Raymond now they also have daughter, Leila b. 1906.
1920---He is WL in this one and she is Kate B. Raymond is 20 (? should be 22) and Leila is still at home also age 14.
In 1880 Mildred Nordyke is in Crab Orchard and it shows her as married--but no husband listed. She has daughters Kitty B. b. 1869 and Nannie M. b. 1874.
Cannot find Kitty or Milia in 1930. Cannot find Walter Ray Bell.
