Hi Jason,
I wish I could help you. I don't know what page of mine you are referring to. I believe you need to find out about the Herefordshire Baskervilles. Mine were in Cheshire, although they were probably a branch of the Herefordshire ones. I have seen a lot of Baskerville genealogy on the internet now. Mike Caswell "mike@caswellplating.com" has a lot of data on Baskervilles. The main line in Herefordshire lived at Erdisley Castle. The name "Martel de" probably comes Martel de Baskerville who is thought to have gone from Normandy to Eng. with Wm. the Conqueror. His name was either William or Geoffrey Martel de Baskerville. One site I have found interesting and will give you an inkling of possible beginnings of Baskervilles in Normandy is at Pat Patterson's Pages "www.patpnyc.com." When the first page (with the moving horses) comes up, click on "genealogy." On that page scroll down towards the bottom of the page and click on "The Conqueror and His Companions." That brings up a book by that title by Planche' and gives chapters and names and short biographies of men who were with Wm. the Conqueror. The bios of people that may mention Nicholas de Bacqueville who was Martel de Bacqueville/Baskerville's father are Fulk d'Aunou and Richard de Nevil. Robert Fitz Erneis married a sister of the others. Baudri le Teuton was their father. Otherwise, I would say go to all the genealogy websites you can find and search for Baskervilles. And post messages. Herefordshire may have a Fam. Hist. Soc. that has message boards.
Kay
