Baskerville Family Genealogy Forum

Hi! I'm glad I can help. I also have some other documents that due to copy right laws I can't post on any of the web sites. But I would be happy to take the information you gave me and see if I can give you any other matches but it seems like you did a good job already. What I can definitely help you with is documenting what you already have at least on the Baskerville side. We are fortunate that the slave portion of our ancestors is very well documented.
I have a very difficult time with my Baskerville line because my great grandfather seemed to just come out of nowhere. His name was W. Hampton Baskerville and I'm not sure whether the W. stood for Walter or William or who knows what else. Therefore when I go to look at the birth records for the year he was born there are about 10 Williams and an equal amount of Walters. The same thing happens when I look at the marriage records. And there is no marriage record for he and my greatgrandmother Susie (Walker) Baskerville. So unfortunately I'm able to help solve other Baskerville mysteries but not my own.
By the way a good place to post information is to www.afrigeneas.com. That is a great site and it serves as the hub of African American genealogy on the web. I know there are a few Baskervilles who from time to time check in there. Give me about a week to get back to you on any further developments in your family line.
