This family is almost certainly related to James Russell Aylor. James R. and George W. married sisters, (daughters of John D. Crawford) lived near each other, and James Russell named a son George W.

The George W. "Aloe" who married Mary J. Crawford on 8 Aug. 1861 just has to be George W. "Aylor" because Aylor's 1880 Clark County census lists his wife as "M.J." and his 1900 census lists her as "Mary J." Furthermore the 1900 census lists them as having been married for 39 years which fits perfectly with a wedding in 1861.

I think it is most likely that they were brothers, but of course what I listed above doesn't absolutely prove it.
