The name was Martin (!) Aucoin, not François-Martin Aucoin. Stephen White's new Dictionnaire gives the info you want in his Corrections and Additions pages at the Centre d'études acadiennes web site (in French).
He says that Michelle Aucoin's parents were : Martin Aucoin and possibly Barbe Minguet. This based on the finding of her sister Jeanne's baptismal record in La Rochelle. Martin's marriage to Barbe Minguet is his first marriage.
The "possibly" is because a baptismal record for Michelle has not been found to date to indeed remove the uncertainty surrounding this whole family's origins. Dennis Boudreau
