Doing a cursory search for your AUBIN family, one finds them on the 1930 US Census living at 524 Samson (?) Spokane, Spokane co, Washington state in this order. AUBIN, Pearl E., wife, own, 1500, F, W, 53, M, 19, Wisconsin, Wisconsin, Wisconsin, none AUBIN, Anthony, head, M, W, 53, M, 35, Washington, US, US, Contractor, Building AUBIN, Alouis, son, M, W, 15, S, Washington, Washington, Wisconsin, none AUBIN, Vivian, daug, F, W, 14, S, Washington, Washington, Wisconsin, none AUBIN, Gladys, daug, F, W, 12, S, Washington, Washington, Wisconsin, none. The family owned their own home. Original census stated Pearl as "Head", then crossed off and "wife" inserted. Anthony listed as "husband" originally, then crossed off and "head" inserted. He was probably not at home when enumerator came visiting. This enumerator seemed to have other problems for other families on census page as well. Son named Alouis possibly could be a spelling error for "Aloysius." Clearly, information giver was unsure of Anthony's parents' birthplaces. Was he an orphan? Or was he part Native American as I find his possible parents at http://www.familysearch.org the LDS Church (Mormons) web site an Antoine AUBIN dit PARACHI born about 1847 San Poil Tribe, Indian Territory, Washington, who married on 11 March 1867 at St.Regis Mission, Colville, Stevens county, Washington to Eleanor GENDRON, born about 1847, daughter of Alexander GENDRON and Mrs. GENDRON. One finds no sign of the Tony AUBIN family in the 1920 Census for Washington State, but name could be distorted in some way and doesn't show in the indices. In California Death Records data base a William H. AUBIN shows born 4 Sep 1879 Washington state, died in Alameda, CA; with SS# 572096470, mother's maiden name: Tony Father's surname: AUBIN. I feel the mother's maiden name is an error and that this William H. AUBIN is a possible sibling to your Tony AUBIN. One would have to do further research. On the 1920 US Census for Perry, Union county, Oregon, this same Willam H. AUBIN appears as a boarder with his family at a lumber camp. Many other boarders from various places listed without families. The camp cook or head, was Tom KOKUBU, 27, from Japan. The census gives William H. AUBIN's birthplace as Washington state and his parents' birthplaces as Canada-French. AUBIN, William H. boarder M W 40 M Wash, Can-Fr, Can-Fr, laborer, lumberyard AUBIN, Ethel E. boarder F W 28 M Oregon, Missouri, Missouri AUBIN, Wayne F. boarder m W 7 S Oregon, Wash, Oregon AUBIN, Marion V. boarder f W 3½ S Oregon, Wash, Oregon Good luck.
