Eugenia Arnold is my Gr-grandmother. She and her family were supposedly from Nashville Tennessee. Census records state she, along with both her parents were born in TN. I have found a marriage certificate from Arkansas showing she was born possibly in 1864. This is the earliest record to date I have found. I have proof only of her being in Arkansas. She had possibly two brothers, James A. Arnold born maybe about 1868, and an Elijah Henderson Arnold born 1871/72. Her fathers' name was possibly James as well. Her mother is unknown. The earliest census I find Eugenia is 1900 in South Dakota. It shows her brother Elijah being born in Arkansas. She supposedly followed her parents there about 1887. No one knows what happened to them. My Gr-grandmother ended up in Spokane Washington and was there as late as 1930. She may have died about 1938. No one knows where she died and was buried. James A. Arnold was a minister in Texas. He married a Mae Weaver, daughter of George N. Weaver of Shelby County Texas about 1906 and they had at least one son by the name of James Arnold born in 1910. James and Mae divorced according to the 1920 census. Elijah Henderson Arnold died at Owanka South Dakota in 1947. I cannot seem to find anything about these Arnolds. they seem to appear out of nowhere and disappear without a trace. I cannot put the two brothers and sister together and I'm beginning to wonder if Arnold wasn't an assumed name since there seems to be so little to be found prior to 1900. Hopefully someone has come across these people and can give me some direction since I seem to be at a dead end.
