Dear Jean
I found your entry and thought this is interesting as my g-grandfather George William Cherry b. 1846 married Eliza Pittman Arnold in 1875 at Sherbourne England, and the Arnold name was given to 4 of their descendants (their first born George Arnold Cherry who died soon after birth, their next son, John Arnold Cherry who later was knighted, then another son, Philip James Ewart Cherry [who incidentally emigrated to Australia in 1907 with his cousin Alex Arnold] who named his second son George Arnold Cherry (my dad), and one of my brothers is named Francis Arnold Cherry.
If you want more info then let me know because I have a lot of Cherry history dating back to about 1748
Bye
Jim
