A biography of Joseph H. Andrews is included in "Progressive Men of the State of Montana". Parents: William H. and Mary A. Andrews. William and his son, Joseph, emigrated to Salt Lake City, UT, in 1861. The mother, Mary, was to follow in the succeeding year, but her death occurred on the day she was to embark.
In 1881, Marsh Basin, Cassia county, ID, Joseph married Miss Elizabeth Halstad, a native of Clinton county, IL.
