At the time the Drennen Roll was compiled (1851), they were also compiling another: the Old Settlers Roll, and no one would have been eligible to be on both rolls. Those whose information is not clearly indicating eligibility on the Drennen Roll were listed on the Disputed Roll until it was established as to which roll they should be placed on.

I do not know of a website that has the Drennen Roll information. I have it because I had been a professional genealogist for many years- specializing in the Cherokee Tribe's records ("I are one" :o)).

Ben was not shown on this roll as "head of household" because he was a white man. It does not indicate a relationship between Celia, William and Melinda, but I would presume that they were two of the children of Ben and Celia.

A friend of mine sent me information on another member of this family. If you'll send me your address, I'll e-mail it to you.
