I have been searching records now for a very long time...I have reached out with emails to the Narragansett Tribe to see if they can help me..No response no acknowledement of the emails. So I have decided to reach out to the genealogy message boards to help in this research of the following person...I have found much going back to Abrams parents and some siblings...I have census records and New England Historical marriage and death records, however I need to know who Abram Jrs father Abrahams father was and who his mothers mother and father was......This is what I know...

Abram/Abraham Rodman born Charlestown Rhode Island. He was born about 1810 Charlestown Rhode Island..He died in 1886 in Gay Head Massachusetts.....From marriage and death record his father was listed as Abraham..Im calculating Abraham Srs bith about <1770> time frame Abraham Rodman Sr Died in 1834 either in Charlestown Rhode Island or at sea as these men were mariners....According to the book The Fugitive's Gibraltar: Escaping Slaves and Abolitionism in New Bedford Abram Jr was a slave from South Kingstown Rhode Island.Removed to New Bedford Massachusetts and worked on the Wharfs of New Bedford..............Those Slave holders in South Kingstown who may have owned Abram were either a Daniel Rodman...William Rodman...or Robert Rodman.

Abram G Rodman (Jr) appears in the 1880 census records Chilmark.....other things done by Abram Jr was spearhead Gay Head group headed by Abram G. Rodman asked the Legislature in i868 for the right of citizenship
Abrahams mother was Mary (Mollie) Niles. She was an Indian doctress/Doctor most likely place Charlestown Rhode Island. She is said to be the daughter of James Niles the 3rd...a sister of hers may have been Hannah and Hannah I believe married a Ben Rodman of South Kingstown Rhode Island
This is how the line goes as far as I can see from documents
Genealogy of Abraham Rodman and Mary Molly Niles

Caroline Ninigret Harry, born 1805,
dic~l 1861, married Isaac Rodmsn, son of
Molly Rodman. Children Caroline Rodman and Isaac were...Caroline Rodman....Christopher Rodman....Mary Rodman...Hannah Rodman <1832> married William Fayerweather......Daughter Mary Rodman born 1830 of Caroline and Isaac married Moses V Noka son of John and Esther Rodman....This info is supplied from the 1935 Narragansett Dawn Article When speaking of the death of a John H Noka....

I have lots of names tied to this line Brown...Noka....Paul.....Fayerweather......Ammons

According to another document Mary Mollie Niles Rodman gave the tribe lots of decendents....

I know you are going to say what more do I need..I need more info on Mary Niles and Abraham Rodman Sr......

This is about heritage........Everything in Indian genealogy is such a Hush hush...WHY??????????????? No one wants to reach out to help...Not even when one documents a heritage thru there own tribal papers................When you read the articles of the tribal papers, it tells the importance of heritage and family roots of course this was back in 1935........Today in the year 2007 it is about who can be thrown out of their heritage and right to a name....Why??? Has family hertige going back into history, really progressed to this in todays society...Well how sad is this.......
Again my documentations comes from reliable historical documents that I have spent almost a year on..Thru ancestry..New England Historical Society...Narragansett Tribal newspaper The Narraganett Dawn....and Reading tons of History books

I like to take this family back to where it began...
