I know, I'm a Lane. My mother is Michelle Abshire, her father was Larry Abshire, his father and mother were Jacob Abshire and Isabel Cherub, the latter at least was from Virginia. We once found a picture of a duke in scotland (of a man originally from Ireland but was exiled) who greatly resembled my brother and mother. and now me. If anyone knows about this photo, please send me the link. This duke would be one of the founders of our line. other variations from the Abshires that weren't kicked out of Ireland include Abshawe and Abshere and Absher.
