The only thing I can find on George W. White is a 1941 WWII Registration Card that gives his birth as Sept 18, 1887 in Sassin, Pulaski, VA. At that time he was living in Freeman, Mercer, W.VA and still working for RR. I looked at Pulaski Co and didn't find Sassin, but did find mention of White Family--but earlier than 1887. There was a George W. b. 1884. And of course we all know how dates can be off. Check out Pulaski Co.VA on GENWEB.
