My name is Joanne Abshire, I'm 24 years old and from Canada. I'm looking for an Edward Abshire who may be my grandfather. I know this is a long shot but I thought I'd try. My father Edwin Abshire was born in Cavite City, Philippines in Februrary 1948. From what I know his father was Edward Abshire a pilot stationed at Sangley Point naval airbase (near Cavite city), Philippines in the late 40's-early 50's. He may have been around 1920 or so. My father's mother was Filipina Antonio and she was a seamstress at Sangley Point but lived in Cavite City. They were not married. My whole life I've been curious about my history.
